I kept pulling and pulling until I watched your video. Thanks for the help!
very useful. thanks
Awesome! Never knew changing a wiper was so easy! Great tip about the tab
thanks very useful
Who knew that tab was underneath – great tip!
Very helpful, thank you very much!
Thank you! My Subaru owner’s manual instructions sucked and I couldn’t
figure out how to get the old one off. I think I can do it now. Thanks,
thanks, thanks!
@x1ofakind1x Is it the wiper blade or the wiper transmission? A higher
pitch squeak that comes from the dash is usually your wiper transmission.
You’ll need to access the transmission and try to grease it or replace it.
If your blades squeak from friction with the windshield, make sure no metal
is contacting the windshield, and/or you could try a higher quality blade.
Thanks for the video. Didn’t know how to even take the blades out. However,
thanks to the instructions, I got it done.
WOW im out in the rain for 10 minutes today in the pep boys parking lot
trying to get my blade off and he does it in 2 seconds..LOL
Thank you, thank you! I’ve been trying to find a good video that showed how
to do the refills. Great video! Clear, simple easy to follow.
Thanks for watching. Have a great day!
@1aauto I have a silverado classic but the wiper arm doesnt go all the way
up like most do…it only raises 1/4 of of the way and stops. I may have to
read the manual because I never saw wiper arms do that.
Gracias!
@1aauto the sweep is fine I’m talking about when you lift the arm assembly
to replace the wiper…mine doesnt go all the way up at a 80 degree
angle…it stops at about a 45 degree or less…I just dont want to force
it upwards…never saw that before. Wipers are fully functional though
I live in an area where there is snow / ice sometimes…should I wait until
spring to replace the blades? I fear if I put new ones on and they have to
run across ice it could damage them
@jrmdodge1 Thank you for checking out our auto repair video on YouTube.
Your video work for me. It’s been a while since I change my wiper blades.
Thxs!
Some of the pin type blades don’t release with the screwdriver leverage.
You can bend the pin if you force it. On some previously replaced blades
there are tabs that lock around the pin when it is installed. You can see
the tabs from the underside of the blade gripping on each side of the pin.
Use a small screwdriver to insert between the tab on the left side of the
pin, and the tab will release similar to how the tab does on the hook type.
The blade then lifts off the pin easily.
cheers guys, helped me identyify and install quickly
@sanitary103 It really depends on what type of vehicle you have, and who
the manufacturer is of them.
Thank you so much! This video really helped!
@2k9amh It would depend on the year of your Suburban. If you have the
owners manuel. It should tell you what size they are. Hope this helps you
out.
love ur vids…great stuff..am learning a looooooooooooot!!
my 93 sierra is like the blazer but has blades like the newer version cars.
finally thanx for the help. i had new blades sitting in my back seat for
months until today!!!!
Thank you guys… you saved my wallet on replacing my windshield!!!
Thank u
I’ll say its been like that for almost a year luckily its the passenger
side lol
I love how this vid displays most of the wiper blades mechanisms out there
but unfortunately i still have difficutly in removing one of the 2 front
blades on my nissan almera n16.The Small one just wont go out no matter
what I do
awesome thank you help out a lot
Thank you very much
1:55 That’s what I wanted to know
How can u dislike this? Thanks this helped alot
i have used all 3 of these types of wiper blades… does that mean i’m old?
hahah
Thanks for the great tip! It helped me a lot! My Jeep truck had both ‘hook’
(on the back) and ‘pin'(on the front) style. My little additional tip for
changing ‘pin style’ is that do not use ‘+ style’ screw driver. it didnt
work. I was finally able to take off the old blade when I use ‘- style’
driver. Another tip for installing ‘hook style’ is that having basic
knowledge from this video, then READ INSTRUCTION on your new blade package.
they tell you details how to complete installing.
@kathiix3yooh Thank you for visiting our channel on YouTube.
If the windshield is really bad (depending on your state and the insurance
you have) your insurance company may cover having a new windshield put in.
Thankyou that was a big help!!!!
Thank you
what do i do to stop the squeaking from my windshield wiper blades?
Stall the digger here lads, If your going to replace your wiper blades and
you don’t fancy a cracked windscreen put a jacket where your wiper arm
flips down to on the windscreen because their spring loaded and they WILL
damage your windscreen if you aren’t careful !
wat size are suburban wiper blades??? in inches
thanks so much! the booklet was zero help. But after watching the video
once, i did it in under minute.
awesome video, thanks!!!! helped me replace my assembly on my chevy truck.
