As long as you can find the non vvti version itll support 450hp since it has thicker rods. If the goal is 500+, either snag OEM 2jz-gte pistons and rods or aftermarket forged rods and pistons
Lmfao never heard a good thing about the cxracing kit, especially the exhaust manifold I can't remember exactly what the problem is but it's some kind of asinine fitment issue.
Ok fair warning because I've done research and rebuilt this motor, the rods can handle 400 HP, the stock transmission can handle 450 HP.
Things to get
Carillo Pistons SC7472 Manley H Beam Connecting Rods King Race Bearing for Rod and Main Brian Crower Springs and Retainers Coesmic MLS Head Gasket CX Turbo Kit Boomslang Wiring Harness Adapter Stand Alone Unit that works with Boomslang Harness Adapter.
No offense to budget builds but this is a pretty expensive engine. If you wanna risk blowing it up or at worst putting a hole in your engine be my guest. Sometimes this works but you have to take into consideration that this engine still has wear and tear regardless if it was taken care of or not. If it wasn’t taken care of then your definitely going to blow it up. Another thing you forgot on this list is a timing belt and seal replacement kit. If your leaking oil you definitely don’t want to boost it and 90% of is300 you find used leak oil. I hope this helps some of you guys. Just save the money and build it properly and in the end you’ll save money and time. Not to mention more seat time that way. Drive your car stock until you save the money to do a proper build. It’ll give you time to get used to the car in its stock form anyways. You’ll over all appreciate the car more too.

I'd like to add all of those things into a Lexus SC300! The underrated 2JZ Supra killer!
