Couldn’t agree more. Awesome video tutorial and I really enjoyed it. I do wheel bearing almost twice a year because I do a lot of knee deep silt water driving and that water loves to eat bearings. Also, it is good to see how you can reuse parts as most likely you will be in the bush where you have to make due.

Bananas make a good CV joint grease too 🙂

Thanks again for the great post!

Thanks for the comments Daniel, the re-grease should have been there but due to technical difficulties (production assistant failure) we skipped that bit. It’s a good point about the RFD10000 single use hub nut, however as the front axles on this particular 90 are actually Disco I we decided to keep everything original, also for the DIY mechanic reusing the Hub Nuts and Washer is a lot more economical than buying a complete new nut each time.

Daniel Marcello says:

Great video. One piece of advice is to re-grease the bearings when putting the hub bearings back in. Also looks like the play on the nut was a little bit more than I would be comfortable with. It should rotate freely, but should be slightly tight. Also use Part Number RFD100000 as your new hub as it is a lot better and easier to use than the old fold over washer.
