Following your process with the tool kit… had it all timed up but it
rotated slightly when I loosened the locking plate screws (at 3:25) so that
the timing pin no longer slides all the way in. Do I need to get everything
lined back up TDC before I proceed with threading in the bolts?
Yes you need the engine timed to TDC and reset pump.
