I really don’t understand how the Lambo could’ve lost. Firstly it has AWD
system paired with wider, better quality sports tires and has lighter
wheels as opposed to Volvo FWD on possibly normal tires. The Lambo has a
way better aerodynamic coefficient and the cars should weigh around the
same. And finally the Lambo has 100 more horses as well as semi-auto
transmission. Someone please explain.

This Gallardo only makes 520 hp at the crank, assuming its stock, The hp
for the Volvo is probably wheel horsepower so its actually pretty close to
what the Lamborghini has at the wheels. As others have stated the weight
and gearing would also play a part in this as well. Have to say hell of a
Volvo!
It’s could be because of the gearing, I wouldn’t be surprised if the Lambo
is geared more for top end speed than this Volvo is.
