@redeemer777 Hi~ I’m gonna tell u how to solve tat trouble wat u mentioned.
Actually … many detailers have tat trouble on their job. becoz they’re
too much depend on their ‘eyes’ only when their work processing. the most
important thing is the vibration & friction ‘feeling’ from between paint
surface and polisher pad. always we have to keep it to smooth condition for
the best result. If u know how to handle the friction heat , then the swirl
marks will be never come back again. 🙂
Meg’s w4000 is one of my favorite pad..becoz fast cutting speed and shining
also good enough. but recommend u keep it many kind of pads.. try to make
it best-match with ur car paint suface condition. I used to 1200~1500 rpm
speed with w4000 pad. thanks~
The backing plate is 3M product and Meguiar’s W4000 cutting wool pad.
Acrually the wool pad was more bigger size but I cut & made it smaller for
my backing plate size(150mm). thanks..
Yeah you’re tight…the red/white pad doesn’t feel right for some
reason….I got get me a wool polishing pad to practice with…and a
makita..I don’t like my dewalt either
update; I worked with the solo pad yesterday more on a burgundy PT cruiser
and I got very good results. I don’t think the pad was broken in the first
time used it.
Hmm…. sorry I never used the red/white solo pad before. but sometimes I
used yellow/white solo pad. I felt tat w4000 pad’s cut & shine was little
bit better than yellow/white solo. I think… the red/white pad is too much
rough to soft feeling painted car. thanks~
Nice Video! How do you keep control of the buffer so well? I constantly
have to fight my buffer to get it to go where I want to. Finally, how much
pressure are you putting on the machine when you are compounding?
@redeemer777 and then you have to buff again :/ unless you use a mild
citrus degreaser , pressure washer, then sponge using the double bucket
method (with grids at the bottom for any grit to fall and not be picked up
) PLUS IF U HAVE A GOOD HARD WAX IT CAN LAST YOU 6 WASHES OR MANY MORE
DEPENDING ON YOUR WASH CYCLE AND REGIME 😀 happy to help 😉
Hi~ First of all… thank u so much for watch my video and leave comment
here.. ^^ Gonna tell u wat…try to use light weight polisher which can
help u get better result. and important thing tat mostly the buffer
rotation is clockwise from ur eyes. just try it a little bit lean to
up&down or left&right side. then the buffer lead ur hand natually. Don’t
try it ur hand make lead the polishing buffer.. just relex and hold the
polisher handle only. I hope this is of some help to u~~ thanks~
Thank you so much for the info!! Please upload some more videos! I love
watching you work!!
once the wax polish wears off the swirls will come back
Also, what speed were you correcting with on the w4000 pad?
I may pick up the megs w4000 or chemical guys wool buffing pad
