Yes it does, provided it is a 4.0L inline six. Keep in mind the kit for the
Cherokee looks quite a bit different, though; the engine compartment is
very different from a Wrangler so there are several differences with the
kit, though the execution is basically the same.
does the Cherokee 1999 have the same engine? i mean the engine that
installed on the wrangler.
Good product have one on my stang very pleased with airaid. Will buy soon
for my jeep!
@ctdjradio : We offer P/N 310-208 (Oiled) & P/N # 311-208 (Non-Oiled) For
the 2007-2011 3.8L Jeep Wrangler. This system will Not Void the Warranty
and is an easy bolt-on installation.

do you have a kit for jeep cherokees? 1997?
Do you guys have a model for V8 304 1980 CJ7?
What model would I get for a 2009 Sahara 3.8L, will it void factory
warranty, and is it relatively easy to install? Thanks
does it increase the mpg and by how much
does that fit a 4cyl engine? and also i’ve heard that some models are
specific to engines with or without airconditiioners. is that
true?……..And does your intake kits come with a throttle body spacer?
No this video is for a system for the 4.0L. We do offer systems for the
4cyl engines. Check out out webpage, AIRAID.com. The Spacers are sold
separate.
@lol123321123321 : Yes we do. We offer AIRAID P/N # 310-136 that Fit’s
1991-2001 4.0L Jeep Cherokee’s.
im buying it tomarrow
@TheRubijon : Terrific. Please let us know how it works out for you!
There are many factors that influence MPG, including driving habits,
condition of the vehicle, tire size, etc., so results will vary depending
on the person and the vehicle. That said, it is not uncommon for our
customers to see a 1-3 MPG improvement; it just depends on the situation.
Actually no, though you’d think that. Because the configuration of the
engine compartment on an XJ Cherokee is quite a bit different from a
Wrangler, the kits are different as well, but the same basic principles
apply.
Do you need a tune to make the cai and the engine breathe well together? I
have seen cold air intakes that will make the engine stall out if you do
not have the computer tuned to match it.
@Zuelanda : Hello, We do not offer a system specifically for that
application, however we do offer our U-Build-It (UBI) system that could
work very well for you.
If an Intake system makes a vehicle stall out, then it was clearly not
engineered properly. Now for the 4.0L Jeep Wrangler or a vehicle that uses
a Speed Density setup, the diameter or design of the system is not nearly
as critical as some of the later model Mass air flow equipped vehicles. The
newer MAF car’s do take quite a bit of work to get the proper Mass Air
placement and functionality.
So your cold air intake for a 97 wrangler with the 4.0 liter does not need
a tune?
That is 100% Correct. No Tuning Required for the 4.0L Jeep Wrangler. It’s
an excellent kit, you will be very pleased with it.
