I have replaced the Coolant sensor on my Hummer H3 also and the thermostat coolant is if standing in front of the vehicle is in the left side between the firewall and engine block……and how to replaced that I made a video

This is the same Engine that the Hummer H3 has
this was really helpfull doing the work my self i replace the water Pump
Also it was making a squeeky noise like id the bearings we’re bad and it was i change the one from the Tensioner and and the one below the Alternator and stop the noise.

its saying with the check engine on the code is low coolant below thermostat level. when i changed the water temp sending unit a very small amount of coolant poured out. but the radiator and resivor are full.

Is it setting a code or do you just have a light on the dash saying “low coolant level” or something like that?

Looking around other websites, I’ve seen reference to upper AND lower fan shrouds. Was the lower fan shroud already in place? Or was the “guide” you referenced holding up the upper shroud in it’s correct spot?
