I wish my back agreed with these types of seats. Even moderately bolstered
seats, like what you find in a Ford Focus SE (not the base model seats, but
the same ones as the non Recaro ST) hunch my shoulders forward and it also
messes with my lower back. I miss running around in small, manual
transmission, fwd cars. I’ll have to live vicariously through others. I
like the direction of your build. Keep the updates coming. Thanks and happy
new year!

Go figure I used to have recaros in my old 98 TDI, I got them out of my
dad’s old jeep and just drilled holes to fit them in the Jetta, and of
course a week after doing so my buddy and I take a 12 hour drive to
charleston SC and they were HORRIBLE on long drives!!! Hahahaha but those
handles are so cool! This is exactly how you read about big stuff coming
from accidents or necessity! Lol love the pattern and the interior is
looking cleaner everyday, might want to consider making more of those
handles for people to order… My 00 jettes got 278k now and the springs
are about to pop through… But since I bought it it’s never started or ran
quite right but enough to live with, except in winter when it acted like
the glow plugs didn’t work, despite ordering a $30 cleaner for the harness
and an electric tester and replacing the plugs still no results, car
wouldn’t start in cold without cranking like 30 times… Come to find out
last week it’s been out of time since I bought it!!! By like 2 degrees,
even after doing the belt and putting it back how I found it and a TDI guy
telling me my timing was perfect, my buddy looked at it last week and found
it was lean, so seats aren’t a huge worry anymore for now I also replaced
the sunroof in 3 hours before work one day (that includes getting the
junkyard one and drive time) after having to kick out the original when it
locked itself running with the dog in it on a hot day and I didn’t have my
phone… Anyway good to see slambo is well!!!

Lane Bunn says:

you got the sliders? thank you

Dylan Klein says:

do these seats sit lower in than the oem civic seats? thinking of putting
these in my hatch. Thanks

Teh Koo says:

Did it come with the bolts to mount your sliders and base or did you have
to order that aswell?

Adam Ismael says:

If I buy those seats. Can I use the old sliders and the old base or the
bracket that came with the original seat?. Or would you rather recommend
using all new stuff and throw all the of the old seat?

A video on your s2000 please. What year, color and mileage on the s2000?

Jon Car says:

These seats would make great gaming seats.

G’bye Granny Seats, Hello Boy Racer …

Nothing changes an interior’s attitude like a seat swap. Even better when
you do it on a tight budget. R100s are the most affordable seats in
Sparco’s (reclinable) street line up.
