Some 2008 sedans have side view mirrors attached with adhesive. If you try
to remove the mirror without using a heat gun to soften the adhesive you
will probably break the glass.

I’m laughing like crazy at your timing to post this video. I got my mirror
broken a few days ago and had a horrible time removing that skull cap.
There’s one other video on youtube that mentions and shows skull caps but
they make you think that they pop out easily when it’s not like that. I saw
it a little late but it helped me a lot when I was trying to replace the
skull cap from the replacement mirror with the one I removed from my
original one.. this video came up as a miracle to me because I truly needed
it at this very moment…

Thanks for taking time to share this, it will come really handy to other
people I know..

What about the two wires connected to the mirror? I believe they’re for
heating the mirror. Mine had two pins sticking out but the replacement
didn’t have it
