@ john doe – zap strap, tie wraps whatever you want to call them are
available practically anywhere. You remove the panel exactly how you’d
remove it normally. There is plenty of wire left inside the unit to allow
you to take the cover off and set it aside to do the servicing. If you
listened to the video you’d know why I didn’t bother with drilling a small
hole in my generator case – I am particular how handle my things and
drilling a tiny little hole wasn’t even an option I was considering.

The lithium battery is supposed to last around 3 years, was wondering when
its time to change battery will the meter store the running time? Or will
it be lost during battery replacement? Thanks for posting vid.

I WENT TO THE HARDWARE STORE AND COULDN’T FIND ANY ZAP-STRAPS ANYWHERE
!!!!! WTF ??? HOW DO YOU REMOVE THE FREAKN SIDE PANNEL NOW THAT YOU PUT
THE WIRE THROUGH THE CHOKE LEVER HOLE AND USED STICKY TAPE TO MOUNT IT WITH
INSTEAD OF DRILLING A SMALL HOLE ON TOP FOR THE METER WIRE ??????
JAP-STRAP IS MORE LIKE IT …HA HA HA

Scott Friesen says:

What do you do when it is time to take the panel off to service the
generator? The wire is now holding the panel to the generator without much
slack to move it out of the way.

Brian Lee says:

Zapstrap? Not a ziptie?
