I have done it before but a great refresher course before diving in again.
I found a Honda 2000 at the dump and the issue was the jet with the tiny holes was put in backwards and went way up inside carburetor. So make sure you don’t put that jet in upside down.

Great video! I have a newer Honda EU2200i and I couldn’t believe I couldn’t get it to start. I bought a Honda for reliability and I have other off brand generators that I haven’t had to touch in 14 years. Anyway, I did exactly what you said and my generator started right up!! followed your video to the letter after putting it all back together it wouldn't start? took the dog for a walk came back tried to start it not start? had supper , walked the dog dumped the gas out and put in new and first two pulls with chock and lever off then turned it on and on one pull it started! ran good for a full hour then shut it down and wondered if I just would of replaced the gas would of it started? karma? thanks good video it had to have something to do with it starting too! thanks again
