After having this on my truck for quite a bit now it has held up well and is a nice thing to have. No longer am I having to ratchet up the truck bed or do things like that to make it work, the extender is just a nice piece to have!

Note that at least for my 2021 Canyon, the placement of the template has changed. The instructions have a slightly different position but it is not real clear in the illustration. The result is the extender was mounted higher on the bed. I'll need to drill new holes and plug the old. One more thing, rivets have been added to the package to anchor the position of the bars in the frame. Overall, an easy job if not for the template confusion.

The taper looks cool, but is there a reason beyond styling, for it? It robs space. Maybe for enclosing bags and stuff when it's flipped inside with the tailgate up?

There was genuine parts(option) in there when i built it.
I need that template to drill the holes to install the brackets to the bed. where can i find them to download as mine didn't come with them. But yes this was a great and helpful video.

Thank for the instructions, ordered my bed extender and was nervous when I saw that there was drilling involved.
damn i was thinking about letting the dealership rip me off to buy and install a bed extender but thats not as hard as i thought it was.
So basically two plastic clamps hold the whole thing together? I just don't think I would put a whole lot of faith in that…
