You may want to check the alternator pulley to see if it has froze up, or perhaps one of the other pulleys may have froze. Hope this helps you out. 1aauto.com 888-844-3393
I’ve got a 1993 Gmc Sonoma sle, 4.3 v6. I had a loud noise coming from around or under the alternator side of truck. Started small, now it sounds like the engine is going to explode. In the middle of all of this the fan was barely turning. At one point the fan was Knocking, but fan quit knocking after a few minutes. But now the fan barely turns. BUT as a visual nothing looks wrong anywhere. It has around 85000,00 miles on it. I do not hot rod it. Any ideas what is wrong?

How did your clutch not turn with fan?
My fan clutch is turning when trying to break it loose I see yours didn’t
On the water pump you normally want to replace it with the factory gasket. You really want to avoid using any RTV or sealant around the water pump flanges.

My 1995 chevy blazer’s radiator fan has stopped working? Do you have any idea why it stopped turning? Is it ok to keep driving it without fan?

You may want to try leaving the serpentine belt on while you break the bolt loose. Then you can take the belt off once it’s loose. The belt will keep tensions on the pulley for you.
If it have a manual clutch, you may want to take a look at it to see if it’s working correctly.
I have a 2003 chevy silverado. My fan is all the time blowing hard. Usually it only does it when my truck has been idling for a while but it does it from the time i crank it up to the time i turn it off. Would i need to change the fan clutch since its constantly running and if so would it be as simple as this yukon?

If the fan clutch is bad, it would also cause the truck to over heat.
Hello my truck is heating up just replaced water pump and took thermostat and said it looked good the only thi g I think could be wrong is the fan clutch how wouldn’t know it’s tht water spill out the side of the radiator from a tube or line that goes for
