Your realize that piece rotates slightly right? And if you screw that down tight it’s only going to get stuck.

just did it to mine only the bushing was good but the pin rotted ..drillet to 1/4 and nut and bolted..just be sure it can rotate when moving …dont tighten nut
Mine isn’t off , seems solid but shifter is very loose falls to the right on column, I can shift into every gear except park , can’t see anything broken in column or under truck !
When I move selector on side of trans with my fingers I can put it into every gear with 2 fingers but park takes both hands , it’s like the cable Isn’t pushing quite far enough bug shifter will go all the way left on Column it’d just cable isn’t pushing enough , can that plastic pieces cause that if it’s still on ?
