OK. I admit this is a poor quality video but hopefully it can give you an idea of how I wired up my brake controller. it works great.

ok and one more thing when i start to accelerate the engine sounds real
shaky and kind of sputters and sounds nasty. and about the fuel pump and
sending unit… my dash is all digital and my gas gauge reads incorrectly
and all over the place any thoughts on why that is happening?
well… if it is all gauges that are failing you are having a larger
problem, unrelated to the fuel gauge. Maybe you have 2 problems. but
basically you will simply need to get a wiring diagram and work your way
through it. Unfortunately this can be a tedious task.
sounds like you have some electrical problems by the sounds of your fuel
gauge. I would suggest you check the grounding all the way from the gas
tank sending unit to the neg term of the battery and make sure there is 0
ohms resistance (ok.. maybe 1 ohm due to your meter’s leads is ok). with a
bad ground, it could easily mess up your fuel gauge and also impact fuel
pump performance. GMs have so many grounds all over the frame and different
parts… it is no wonder old rusty vehicles have probs.
first thing to do is put a fuel pressure gauge on the fuel rail and measure
pressure when 1) you expect to start properly, 2) you have it running, 3)
when you leave it sit for more than 30 mins and don’t expect it to start. I
wonder if it could be fuel pump with apparently are a notorious problem on
chevs. the other possibility is you have a bad temp sensor confusing the
computer or some other sensor… O2 perhaps.
usually when a fuel pump fails it results in a lean condition… however,
fixing the gauge issues can’t hurt and maybe would help. good luck…. I am
not an expert and am providing suggestions but other folks may have better
suggestions…
alright and will that take care of the running rich condition as well?
hi im using my girlfriends account but i have a 1994 olds bravada awd and
it has a problem starting when its been sitting from more then 30 minutes.
i have to pump the gas to get it to start. if i just run into a store or
something real quick the truck starts with no problem. iv been thinking
that its either the injector or regulator, can i get a second opinion from
someone who has more experience than i do such as yourself. thank you for
your time– james
and also my instrument cluster keeps shutting down so to speak… all the
gauges keep turning off and going black except for the speed-o-meter
