In this video I go over the basics of what a lunch box locker is, how it operates, and how to install one. The locker I installed is a Spartan locker.

How do you think it will work with 24 or 26 inch rims on a 72 impala with 373 gears?
What way did the c-clip retainers face?
Horrible video, You talk way too much, and you cut out all the important stuff.
Thanks for sharing
you didnt show measuring the gap to make sure the depth is correct…
Im just tryna do even burn outs in my 4.3
Bought one of these for my 2006 silverado but i can't get all of the pieces to fit in the carrier. Its about ¹/⁸ to wide to fit in the carrier. Thoughts?

Doing a complete rebuild on a 87 Chevy truck , where is the best place to purchase a lunchbox style locker ? Thank you
Try not to forget you have a locker once you have one.
Was reading they can be a bit dicey on snow or ice roads,
Awesome vid!! Thanks for sharing info, I’m going to go with a locker on my c10 turbo build! Limited slip is a little to expensive! I won’t be using trans brake or going to track so should last awhile.
Does that lsame unchbox locker work for the front 10 bolt
Great video boss
Just did this install on a '86 K-10. Works awesome! However, the install was slowed because the little bolt that holds in the center pin was broken. Ended up drilling into the carrier to the left of the pin. We were able to hold the broken end of the pin while drilling into the broken pin from the right. A little air pressure forced the broken end of the pin out of the carrier. Over all a 90 minute project. No bangs, pops, or other drama while driving on tar. Love it!!
Enjoy all the videos man I think I might get help with something
For the price of this I'd rather get a LSD. There is a cheaper version of this for around 80 bucks.
Are there aftermarket lockers to replace G80 lockers in new Silverados and Sierras?
Thank you I liked and subscribed…. I'm a average Joe just trying to be self sufficient when it comes to mechanical problems.. your video really saved my ass and thank you soooo much for the quick reply…. I'm searching for the carrier now …. just to be sure as long as I use my ring gear I can use any open load carrier out of any gm 10 bolt 8.6 2000 and newer models with disc brakes… ? Just checking to make sure I keep my gearing correct…..
I have the g80 in my 2002 Tahoe it blew up so I ordered a lunch box locker to rebuild it …. I put it together to find out way to much slack …. so I looked up this video saw you say it wont work in that case what's my next cheapest option..
. I want to still use the lunch box so now what do I buy a open load carrier for a 8.6 chevy 10 bolt and put the locker in that ?? Fyi it's my family vehicle and I'm on a budget and time crunch ….
Buy cheep get cheep !
How crazy was the guy that invented this?
How do you get the c-clips in there too?
