change THERMOSTAT REPLACEMENT how to DIY – OBDII trouble code P0128 fix – GM 3100 – 3400 engine cars

Here’s another (for entertainment purposes only!) step by step how to DIY video guide . . . I should say, how to DIM (do it myself) on how I, Izzy, “World Renowned” (self proclaimed) by unanimous decision, “Undisputed #1 DIY Guru” (judges are still out on that one) removed & replaced the Thermostat to fix overheating & temperature control (check engine light, OBDII trouble code P0128, Coolant Temperature Below Thermostat Regulating Temperature, engine taking too long to warm up), no heat, heater too cold, heater not working, and fuel trim issues on this 2002 Chevy Venture mini van with a 3.4 Liter (litre) 3400 v6 & GM 3.1 Liter 3100 v6 engines. And PLEASE . . . “Do as I say and not as I do” . . . . don’t hassle with it!, and take it to a professional!

Remember folks, I am what you would call a “trained professional”, so, DO NOT TRY THIS AT HOME! . . . Doing so may place you at GREAT PERIL, & know that if you do . . . . you are doing so at YOUR OWN RISK! . . . . (please read the DISCLAIMER and TERMS & CONDITIONS included at the beginning of the video).

Great video! How long did it take to do the job?

Starguard ! says:

Sir, I thank you very much for taking the time to make this video. Unlike most other repair videos we see on youtube, this was made very thoroughly with a lot of clear attention to detail

ikemen1 says:

change mine about 8 months ago.. I did the removal of the throttle body way.. I came to a conclusion there is no easy way… Back in the day it was 15 minute repair…;

Roger Bliss says:

I know but without throttle body you can pass a wrench between the pipe right to the bolts makes it much easier I've done mine 3 times due to being stuck open (failsafe) thermostat

Roger Bliss says:

when I do these I remove the throttle body then it's a straight shot to the bolts
