Nice video, you should ask people to give you a positive rating on your
video so you end up getting more exposure for your work.

Zingbox2 says:

1A Auto Parts says:

@campbell7575 You need to scrape it off the bolts only.

1A Auto Parts says:

If you go to the dealer, they should be able to get them for you. Hope this
helps you out. 1aauto.com 888-844-3393

Thanks. Ford dealership wanted 32 dollars!!!! Done in 15 minutes!

HawaiiRebel says:

Great video. Do you have a video for 2007 Ford F-150?

Travis Hughes says:

Thanks for the video. Very helpful. I have a 1996 Ford Ranger with a broken
tailgate. The handle works fine, but one of the latches was sticking which
caused one of the yellow clips (2:12) to break. I’ve been looking online,
but I haven’t been able to find a replacement for this. Any suggestions on
the name of this part and/or a vendor would be great.

rpd1946 says:

Just replaced my broken handle in 10 minutes. Thanks so much for the video.

MsYellowTrucky says:

So this morning I went out and replaced my tailgate handle… I can open my
tailgate now! Thanks again so much for these videos! I’m passing on the
good word of your website and youtube channel as well!!

Tee Skarzin says:

Thanks for posting I used it for a Mazda B2300 worked like a charm. The
aftermarket replacement looked slightly different but it went in easily and
works well. I was half the dealer price both from Ford and Mazda. Keep up
the great videos.

kendisblue says:

This was awesome!!!! I am an idiot when it comes to cars, or anything
mechanical to be honest. My tailgate handle has been broken for 4 years at
least and since I never really open it I never bother to get it fixed. I
stumbled across this video on thought, “I can do that.” Got the part 3 days
after I ordered it from you guys and within 15 mins. I had a working
tailgate. Thanks. Best tutorial ever.

1A Auto Parts says:

website 1aauto.com 888-844-3393 Thanks for watching.

Jack Flynn says:

Grant Campbell says:

my left side of my tailgate handle broke, ive watched the video and see how
its done but i have a spray on bed liner. do i have to scrape up the liner
to get to the t27 bolts?

XThumperzX says:

Awesome Vid! Some of my bolts were rusted out but I changed the handle in
about 10 min and I’m completely car retarded.

Phuong Huynh says:

Excellent tutorial! Thank You!

boashna says:

you saved the day good job

DarthTurducken says:

I’ve been putting off fixing my tailgate for months because I was confused
by the rivet hinge as to how to remove it (doh!). Thanks for this great vid!

Patrick McGuire says:

Hello, my tailgate won’t even lower because the handle is broken off the
hinge. Will this fix be sort of the same, just not folded out?

schmabie says:

Just snapped the handle off my ’04 Ford Ranger Edge this morning. Thank you
so much for showing how to repair it and save a few bucks.

1A Auto Parts says:

You could need to ask them if it would be an acceptable repair.

1A Auto Parts says:

You may need to remove the handle, reach inside and pull the rod by hand to
release the tailgate. Hope this helps you out. 1aauto.com 888-844-3393
