i have a 00 superduty an i changed heatercore now when im driving with the
ac on an hit the gas hard or get to 50 mph the ac stops blowing out of the
vents an blows outta defrost vents then when i let go of the gas it comes
back…. what would caus ethis prob ????? ty

1A Auto Parts says:

There may be a loose, broken or disconnected vacuum line somewhere. If
there were any vacuum connections when you changed the heater core you may
want to check them. Also check the engine bay for a vacuum line that may
have fallen off, or needs repair. Hope this helps you out. 1aauto.com

I have a 99 F250- I took it to get a A/C recharge the other day and they
said it didn’t need it. But on a hot TX day, it sounds like the air is
blowing full force, but it’s just not coming out that way. Could it be the
actuator? I hope so, because it looks really easy to install! Thanks

i have an 00 f250 i replaced heatercore now when i drive with my a/c on
when i get to 50 mph it stops blowing thru the front vents an blows out of
the def vents an when i let go of the gas it switches back to front an so
on ..could u give me an idea of whats goin on? ty

1A Auto Parts says:

Is the clunking noise coming from the A/C vents or could it be a noise
coming from possibly the engine bay? If you are getting a clunk noise
coming from the vents, you could be an actuator trying to move into the
correct position.

kstorms27 says:

If the acuator was bad, could it cause one side to blow warm and the other
side cold on my dash vents?

Diesel117br says:

I have been told the clicking noise is due to the blend door being made of
plastic and the groves or fins on the blend door shaft are worn. The
clicking is when the blend door has reached the end of the spectrum (hot or
cold) but keeps trying to move. Again this is just what I have been told
but I have the same noise and I can only get extreme hot or extreme cold. I
need a video on how to replace the actual blend door! Thanks.

1A Auto Parts says:

you may want to check for a loose plug or if the system runs on vaccum,
check to see if there’s a broken vacuum line perhaps under the hood along
the firewall or under the dash. Hope this helps you out. 1aauto.com

HoneyBunny says:

We are having the same problem with air flow, but there is also a loud
clunking noise. It is almost always present when the truck is first turned
on and then periodically happens as we are driving. Is this the same issue
or do we need to look further? Thanks!

1A Auto Parts says:

@kstorms27 It might, depending on where it’s hanging up in the system.

1A Auto Parts says:

You may want to see if there’s a vacuum line in the engine bay or possibly
under the dash that might be loose causing this issue. Hope this helps you
out. 1aauto.com 888-844-3393

HoneyBunny says:

Thanks for the info.

1A Auto Parts says:

we currently do not have an auto repair video on that particular repair.
We’ll keep this request in mind in the event that we need to make this
repair in the future.

John W Rouse III says:

i fixed this piece and chaged all relays and control panel my machanic says
its a box that covers the ac & heat radiator its a door that changes from
hot to cold any suggestions everything works on heater just blows real cold
thank u for the help in advance

modeyus1984 says:

Hey guys this repair applies to anybody’s air coming out the top defrost
vents. Make sure you check your vacuum lines first then proceed to this
step. Lucky ones are the f250 owners for this is super easy compared to
other vehicles. Thanks 1A.

1A Auto Parts says:

Your Explorer would more than likely be different. We currently do not have
a repair video for this particular repair for a Ford Explorer.

TheFossten says:

Is this the same thing as the ‘blend door’?

MrCHEVYBOI706 says:

I have a problem with my 04 expedition will not blow out the vents only
from the defrost vent. help please

Jose Newvillage says:

I have a 1999 F-350 7.3. When I turn on the A/C sometimes start other don’t
start and the vent door don’t change dirrection all the time the air goes
to the windows. I all ready change the climate control switch. Someone
knows what is the problem with the A/C of my F-350?

1A Auto Parts says:

You may want to check under the dash and under the hood of the truck for a
loose, or cracked vacuum line. If they all seem to be fine, it may also be
a fuse or possibly a bad door actuator in the heating system. Hope this
helps you out. 1aauto.com 888-844-3393

1A Auto Parts says:

@hp11208 It helps to blend the hot/cold AC setting, when you select the
range that you would like on the control panel. The temperature door mixes
the hot and cold air coming through the vents.

1A Auto Parts says:

We are glad your issue was solved with our video! Have a great day.

frost303030 says:

I have a 04 f250, it blows hot and cold perfectly, but only thrue the
defrost no floor or any other vents. If I change this can it help? Thanx

Dee Barry says:

1AAuto, Thanks for your videos, they have been a life saver and money
saver. I have a 2004 F350 6.0. When I turn on the AC and the truck is not
moving, it blows cold air. As soon as I start moving it turns warm and then
real warm. When I come to a stop, like at a light, the cold air returns.
The freon was checked and was reported to be ok. Thanks in advance.

1A Auto Parts says:

For the heck of it, when the truck is cold blast the heat inside the cab
and let the truck warm up with the radiator cap off. See if the level of
the anti-freeze drops, if it does there was an air pocket in the system.
Top off with some new anti-freeze and you should be okay. Also feel the two
heater hoses going into the heater core to see if they’re warm and that the
thermostat is working correctly. Hope this helps you out.

SuperXalik says:

Hey do you have DVD to fix heaters

1A Auto Parts says:

It could be the actuator causing the noise but the only way to find it out
is to dive into the HVAC system and see what is the culprit.

1A Auto Parts says:

@TheFossten Yes, this helps to control the hot/cold heat range coming out
of the vent.

kstorms27 says:

The more I research this the more Im thinking its a blend door problem.
Blowing warm air out my drivers side vents, and cold out my passenger side
vents. I have a 2008 F250 Diesel. Would that be a hard fix?

Joe D says:

Would this be the same video for a 2007 Ford Taurus that is only blowing
HOT Air?

Celso Abarca says:

Sorry this question don’t have nothing to do about it but I want to know if
for a 99 F 250 Super Duty if any cabin filter and where is located

1A Auto Parts says:

You may want to check to see if anything is disconnected under the dash
allowing some of the air to escape. If not it may be a door actuator issue.

1A Auto Parts says:

You may want to see if there’s a vaccum line that has become cracked
disconnected in the engind bay or under the hood that could be causing
this.
