Thanks for the video! You saved me big time. I never would of checked there for the problem. It ends up that one of the wires was corroded and broke. I ended up stripping the wire and putting it back in. Truck started up no problem. Thank you so much!

CAFTait says:

No, they have a few different configurations of fuel pumps. You will need to know the size of the tanks and whether or not they are plastic or steel.

Jesus Christ!! I’m getting really f*cking sick of these Godd*mn auto-play ads that you can’t turn the volume down or off!! I can’t hear the videos and it’s total BS!! Is there a way to disable that damn video player!?!?

mrbobsshow says:

Glad it worked out for you.

Timbo Redland says:

Yes, You SAVED me some time and money so thank you so very much. I bought a 89 f150 from a co-worker and it ran for about a week before it just shut off on me. I live in chicago so its to cold in Feb, March, to be trouble shooting so I let it sit. From time to time spraying starter fluid into the air intake, and just like you said it ran. So I had been waiting for the weather to break to change the fuel pump, but then I saw this video. It fired right up. Thanks again

mrbobsshow says:

Im really glad to hear that !!

rocky tyler says:

Just want to say your video save me tons of time and money thanks I really do appreciate you putting this out there

mrbobsshow says:

Im not sure for some reason wouldnt work on its side think there is a sliding arm in there so it has to be facing upwards dont know why but was the only way it worked who knows for sure?????

paperweightgirl says:

Cool tip.

TheEnglishbloke71 says:

Great Video, one question. Why would standing the relay upwards help? I would think an electrical current would not care. Is that because of the original Factory mounting bracket?

mrbobsshow says:

Yea especially with the price of scrap being so high you got to keep a look out constantly vehicles dont stick around the yard like they used to luckily im about a quarter mile from 1 junkyard and a mile and a half from another plus have Lowell Truck Parts 4 miles away so usually find what I need and they all know me and treat me fair Because I treat them with respect and Thats the name of the game! One place has a monthly all you can carry for 50.00 during the summer (certain cars)

mrbobsshow says:

Yea it defiantly saved me some money and lots of aggravation and it should be the same setup on your truck thanks for stopping in Marcel.

I was lucky I have a 2003 venture went to the junk yard and they just pulled in a 2003 montana
it looked almost new t had a bad engine and lots of new parts the brakes were still shiny . I am disabled so my son took lots of parts off so now we went back and that van had been stripped down . If you need parts I would check every day or call to see if they have a new one
just pulled in

marcelstjean says:

good fix.ill have to keep that in mind if i ever have a prob.
cheers.
