They sure do earn their money doing such a tedious job. I don’t think I’ll
be having a go on my car. I’ve already re-done the interior roof lining. It
took two goes to get it right. The third time would have been perfect, but
I’d already spent a fair bit on the foam, fabric, and mostly the glue.

@eastcoastking18 Not true, a razor blade WILL scratch glass. Especially if
it’s not stainless steel.
A properly trash bag and masking tape, easy
So how much did something like that cost?
@drivingsports California allows any shade of tint on all 3 rear windows.
(Rear, and back 2) The front windows are the windows that there strict on.
The darker the tint, the better it looks
not if you use a Olfa stainless knife.. with a SS blade.. non SS blade will
cut the window.
I’m Mexican/American..and my dad is an EXPERT at this stuff..I mean he
makes like 1,500$ a day and it does take a lot of work..He makes every cut
PERFECT
don’t be deceived, a lot of store bought films can fade quickly after
installation, (that lovely purple) the product I will stand by is suntek
window film, all but one grade offers a lifetime warranty, a cheap tint job
isn’t good, and a good tint job isn’t cheap.
I got the ‘clean windows twice’ part… but with what? Just plain soap and
water? Windex? Dust/lint are my concerns. And also, is there a way to
remove Tint from the back window without damaging the defroster?
I love how he points out to be sure and check your laws, but the car was
just illegally tinted by Washington state laws.

so what i have my entire car 5% winsheild also, iv never been pulled over
or got a ticket i live in chicago and the cops out here are real assholes

At a certain angle any blade can scratch glass, low angles and a constant
sharp stainless steel you will be in the clear.
If you have a car over $35k, think you should spend the extra $150, and let
a pro do it, I let a pro do my accord, and he had to take off the panels
and everything, and notice most people don’t have a giant window size
surface to cut, correct, and add soap to the tint ( 1:57 ) but that’s just
my 2 cents
i tried this twice on my car and both times it has turned out with very
many creases any ideas?
Its illegal were i live well to have it that dark anyway damm no need to

This REALLY does not show you how to tint..

new zealands way better your aloud 5% on the back side windows , and some
people get away with 15% on the front side windows
it goes on the inside he had it on the outside to cut it with the adhesive
side faceing him but dont peel it off untill you are ready to put it on the
inside make it wet as you peel it off if you dont it will roll right back
up be stuck togather roll down windows it is easy to just roll the window
down just a litte bit and cut from the top just follow the curve then you
wont have to do what he when he cut the top the heat gun what he is doing
is removing the fingers have do it on rear
On certain vehicles I will remove the screw, but on this particular vehicle
it was not necessary, as the black went around the screw.

Here in Calgary, Canada we are only allowed 0% tint on front windows;
that’s why I got a tint ticket last night!

@drivingsports where i am we can tint to 35% except for the windshield
unless you have a truck in which case you can go as dark as you want
This makes me want to attempt to tint my windows but where would I get
propper tint film?
