FIXING our Ferrari 360's BROKEN Fuel PUMPS (Its an absolute Disaster!)

Please visit https://www.ricambiamerica.com and make sure you select the correct fuel pump for your car as they had different versions for the spider/coupe/430/360. Make sure you don’t forget to use NGS10 and get 10% off your order too!!!

The Fuel Pumps in the Ferrari 360 and F430 are notorious for failing. The good news is that they aren’t terribly difficult to replace. The bad news is they are still a pain in the butt to get out of the fuel tanks. In this video we show how to really have bad luck when replacing the the fuel pumps in Josh’s Ferrari 360 coupe.

The stupid ring nut on top of the fuel pump actually cracked when reinstalling it! And to make matters worse, we cannot locate a replacement part!

360 owner. Was there a particular reason for changing the pumps aside from age / preventative? Any symptoms? Ta

Guessing that Ferrari ran out of part numbers and are now re-using old part numbers on newer parts.

Believe it or not, I actually appreciate the problems. We’re humans…”learn and progress”

How many miles on the 360?

Always been a big fan of the 360, my C63 S SMOKES a 360 and 430 in every way but… the sound and, I don't know but… I think the 360 really has a timeless design.

Owning those stupid cars isn't for everybody. Why on Earth would you want to spend all your time and money fixing things that never break on other cars? You pay ridiculous sums of money for inferior parts and for every one you fix, two more break. People generally look at Ferraris and their owners as idiots. Same with Porsches! Man, get a grip.

I think I would have used jubilee clips. Or 3D print one.

PiDsMedia says:

Y'know, those fuel pump links, they ain't much more expensive then most EFI fuel pumps.

Nice work on the jerry rig solution there…. sometimes one has to adapt to overcome.

Yikes! That's the exact problem I ran into when I was trying to get my old 93 3000GT front wheel alignment back in spec. A rubber bushing in the middle of the steering rack is no longer supported (with a number of parts), and after looking for weeks, I couldn't find an exact replacement. However, research led me to find that there were a couple other Mitsubishi cars that may have shared the same bushing on the steering racks. So maybe you can cross-reference the part with another Ferrari? I know the closest Ferrari to the 360 is the 430, but maybe there's another Italian relative that may use the same part? Or it's time to propose someone to start reproducing the part for fellow enthusiasts! Maybe now someone has another use for a 3D printer. 😉

GTpro says:

Wow, that's wild. 2 fuel pumps, tanks, throttle bodies, air boxes, air filters…what else is in pairs??

Ron Gosciniak says:

What is the part number for Cop badge on the Ricambi website.???… I saw it next to the fire extinguisher on the bench….ha!
