Nexu Jin says:

Maybe still to premature to call the problem solved after just 2 GP's? The FP in Aus GP showed that the issue still remains a factor, particularly for certain teams in variable degree of influences on getting most out of their performances.

finton mainz says:

These explanations don't make sense.

BaKeUrPoTaToE says:

So this might mean that perez is actually quicker than verstappen this year?
think about it: Bahrain = verstappen new suspension and quicker than perez
jeddah = both new suspension, perez quicker
australia?

Runeb drim says:

Yep but RedBull seems to be the team more on top it

EnterScreenameHere says:

Ferrari seems to have a really balanced car. This'll be an interesting season.

Brendon Wolfel says:

Practice in Australian GP suggests Ferrari hasn’t “solved” anything related to porpoising

Aamir Parvez says:

this sure aged well

Fs Consultantcy says:

But the ferrari is still pretty bad !!!

Sam W says:

You're explaining purposing wrong, it's the other way around. The floor sucks too much so the floor hits the ground and the floor doesn't suck anymore and the car rises up again repeating this proces gives the bouncing, this happens on the straights the most because of the ground effect being strongest. That's why teams are struggling with it so much because alot of teams are raising ride hight but than loosing the ground effect in the corners aswell and that's where you ultimately want your downforce. Some teams found a bit of relieve in making the sides of the floor more ridget by adding struts. I think we'll see the rules changed in near future so teams are able to work more on the floor and maybe even suspension.

On the topic of Mercedes lacking behind seem to be a power unit issue as all the Mercedes powered cars are underperforming like McLaren, this is backed up by the speed traps over the past few races Mercedes just isn't fast enough. Ferrari are flying on the straights but have massive porpusing issues aswell as does Red Bull.

motioncarried says:

This didn’t age too well. Ferrari was porpoising horribly today in the 2nd sector.

Gandalf the Grey says:

The thing is: Even when other teams (eg Mercedes) suddenly finds a smooth, easy fix to their porpoising and thus unleashing more potential of the original design it's still VERY, VERY difficult to catch up to a moving target.

And both RB and Ferrari are moving good at the moment

Macattack 1 says:

I mean… Ferrari are still porpoising like crazy in Australia lol

jim s says:

Ferrari were bouncing massively this morning in the Australian GP FP1 session.

Mike Williams says:

This is was enjoyable. Fantastic production and epic voice.

jedan od says:

Ferarri is still porpoising

Ezzah says:

Mercedes gonna be stealing as much design from ferrari + redbull as possible

Bruant Quentin says:

There is a problem with your hypothesis: in bahrein and jeddah, ferrari was the quickest in the slowest, most curvy part of the tracks, meaning that indeed they have greater downforce, not less.

ANDy JK says:

so Red bull are the faster Team. but Ferrari Boys are more talented?
