great vid! to avoid all that oil spilling when you drain the engine oil you can simply leave the oil charge cap on place and remove it AFTER you have opened the drain cap. So the oil drains out slowly at the beginning.

Saad Badar says:

Please stop using shell…. just makes the car noisy

PompeyMatt17 says:

stupid mundane question..I think everyone would prefer to do their own servicing but how do you get on with the service log? If I were ever to buy a performance car (unlikely) I'd want to check the service record. How do you record DIY servicing?

Gates Lattes says:

Buy a Porsche 993!

vasantos2171 says:

8:00 – and THAT'S the reason I don't drive the car before changing the oil. My face is worth more than "getting all the little bits out".

alfonso carbonell says:

open up a ferrari repair shop!!!!

Tremaine Jones says:

Great video and instruction, .
I was going through the service with you, brought back great memories.
I could tell you a few short cuts but obviously that's not applicable in a tutorial.
PM me if you want some advice. (Ferrari tech).

Toni R says:

Your technical advice for Ferraris is the best in the whole web !

Petri Timaru says:

My dream cars is all Ferrari (ferrari 308, f430, f355, 360 spider, ferrari dino 246 gt and 288 gto the most expensive)

Dominogo Forte says:

Fortunately I have a couple of ramps and it's a lot easier on a single or twin poster

Dominogo Forte says:

I used a polythene ecp bag to catch the oil from the side tank, while it's coming out into the bag there's a small hole in the lower corner of the bag going into the oil disposal pan

Riccardo Castagnoli says:

Hi Ratarossa,
nice video(s)! I'm an italian guy who follow your channel and i confirm what have been already written by others. "Olio cambio" is "transmission oil", because in italian "cambiare" is the verb equivalent of "to change", but is also equivalent of "to shift". If you need some translation for something else, i'll be very pleased to help you!
Take care and have a good work!

Best regards/Saluti

Riccardo

@Ratarossa What are the #tourqe #specs for the #tansmission #levelcheck the one u used 47 extensions on. Lol.

Mr. Anderson says:

Thank you so much for these great and informative videos man. An F355 along with a Lamborghini Diablo (90-93, not the VT) are the cars I will be buying in the near future, but for me the joy (except for obviously driving them) is to be able to maintain them (at least to a certain extent) on my own.

Panagiotis Athanasopoulos says:

Good job! If only you could also do the belts on this car…

R Jones says:

Scott – this may seem a simple question and apologies if you've covered somewhere else, but where do you place the jack to get the car in the air? With the jack stands on the side jacking points, I'm assuming you're raising and lowering by placing the jack on a central point?

Harry Hunt says:

Leave the socket in the drain plug and turn the socket by hand, save burning hands with hot oil…

Philippe Martins says:

Un mec comme toi qui a sûrement de l'argent tu as pas les moyens de te faire une fosse ou d'avoir un pont ?

paredding says:

With all this maintenance/projects, still can't believe you haven't bought a scissor lift as a minimum. Would give you more space to film and a heck of alot safer.

Ben says:

The better technique is to push the drain bolt into the thread while unthreading then tilting the bolt once fully unthreaded to control the drain of the oil.

I Need That Car says:
