Not trying to cause any waves, it’s apparent that your not a mechanic, but
let me just help out a little for others watching this.
1. Use both hands when taking out and installing spark plugs, it’s very
easy to strip the threads.
2. Don’t DROP the spark plug down the tube, the gap on the plug is there
for a very good reason, what you probably did was made it worst.
3. DON’T tighten spark plugs down as hard as you can, there are torque
settings for a reason and in some cars/trucks (my expedition) you can strip
those threads easily and send the spark plug right into the engine!
Buy a cheap torque wrench, Harbor freight has them for like 10 bucks.
4. Go buy a damn spark plug socket, they are only a couple of bucks.
Without them you could damage the spark plug (crack the ceramic) and then
you will be in a whole world of shit.
If you can’t afford to do the job right, you will most likely end up paying
somebody 200 bucks to fix your mistake.
I encourage people to fix their cars all the time, but hey, don’t be cheap
about it or you will end up paying for it!
Hey Alexey, should you replace the ignition coil pack as well when doing a
tune up? I have an 2002 as well and I have lost all power. Especially going
up hill, I’ve traced it back to tune up and coil pack. What’s you advise?
On the spark plugs that i buy, it says on the package to gap them before
installing them…
You realize by being so rough on taking those plugs out, you can wiggle the
sleeves loose and then you get oil seeping through the bottom of the
sleeve. Get a proper spark plug socket that has rubber fitting in it to
grip the plug.

yes it happens when cam or crank position sensors gasket becoming bad…

I have the same problem with the same car. I love the car but rrg.. guess
all 2000 neons have that prob >.>
auto-lite sparkplug,,for me it dosn`t work like a champion

The best way to find out is put some color in the oil…… you will see
from where leeks occurs..
