Buddy, GM makes a funnel that screws in and its cheaper than dirt. Having a brain would make your life a lot easier.
Or just don't buy junk

A 32 ounce Gatorade bottle works great cut off the bottom flip it over and it'll screw in to the oil cap threads
Did my first oil change last week. Really was a cuss fest for myself

It shouldn't need an adapter. The valve cover should be redesigned.
