Can i follow this same method with a chevy aveo?
well I watched about half of the video, then I went out and installed the
switch. I started the car and tried turning the wheel and it barely turned.
Then the horn started blaring and wouldnt stop! long story short, I didnt
push the button in and ended up crushing part of the metal wheel which
grounded agianst the steering column and made the horn blar. moral of the
story. Watch the WHOLE video! Pay attention too 3:39

switch.

Ok received the blinker-cruise control lever switch, removed the bottom
three 7 millimeter screws ok but ran into problems: the covers are
stuck-cant remove either. We saw a 4th nut/screw that was beyond our allen
wrench’s reach, and are unsure if removing that nut/screw is necessary to
unhinging the steering wheel column covers. We will wait on your reply so
we can remove the plastic cover to access the switch.
I was driveing home yesterday and wisps of smoke started to come up from my
steering column at the base of the headlight switch/ turn signal.
i have a 05 classic is it the same for me?
I’ve got a 1995 Pontiac Grand Am, does this instructional video apply? With
my Grand Am the emergency flasher button is on top of the steering column.
I ordered the new switch, waiting on UPS but I would feel better if I knew
what you know.

i need this same video for an 03 chevy impala the wipers only work on the
highest speed setting do you think it is the switch also?
You may want to check the fuse and check to see if there’s power to the
switch.If there is power to the switch it may be the switch that has gone
bad.

Does this switch control the wiper motor speed? I bought a 2001 Malibu and
the wipers only work on high speed!

I have another question, I just noticed smoke coming out of my steering
console around the turn signal wiper switch (I haven’t replaced the switch
yet). I haven’t been able to find out much about it.
@ReySeanTv The turn signal switch is different for your Chevy Impala. We
currently do not have an auto repair video that shows you how to do this on
that particular vehicle. If you have a Haynes or a Chiltons manual they
should show you how to do this. We carry the Haynes manuals on our website
1aauto.com
This video will show you exactly how to install this new part, and also how
to push a couple of pins in that may be in your way. Hope this helps you

Your 95 Grand Am may come apart differently.We currently do not have an
auto repair video that shows this particular repair.
It might be slightly different for the Aveo but the methods are the same to
get to the switch.
How can I tell if there’s a problem with the Headlight Turn Signal Wiper
Switch? I own a 2003 Malibu and my headlight indicator light doesn’t come
on in the dash and the centre bulbs in my head lights don’t come on (all
the other lights do). Bulbs were replaced.
If the horn doesn’t work then one of the wires for the harness for the horn
either got cut or something else causing it to ground out. You might want
to go back in and see if there is any issues with the wiring inside the
column.

video to replace yours. Your turn signal switch is different than the one
