ocb453 says:

Nice video pete thans.

RamblinAround says:

That is a crazy amount of work just for some inner fenderwells, but I guess
if the guy has the money…why not.

Chazz R. says:

The owner of the buick is really anal Pete. Why would he want places to be
painted that won’t be seen by the naked eye is beyond me too, very odd guy,
OCD maybe?!! Awesome work Pete & stay cool, peace!!!

Jeff Woods says:

I hear ya. I sanded the floor pans on a 67 Nova Underneath for 3 weeks. Say
good by to fingerprints on your fingers.Oh plus the floors got wetsanded
and buff. That was going to far for a driver. Oh I have seen Eastwood makes
a bodyfiller for Powdercoat. I want to powdercoat my rearend on my 32 but
it has some rust pits so i may paint it. I dont see haw the oven will not
screw up the filler. Anybody knows about Powdercoating, and fixing pits for
powdercoat?? Let me know.

swrnc says:

@1968DodgePolara Its not just in your town, and it’s not just with paint
and body.. It seems it’s the way of life with most people these days..
Where has all the honesty gone??

doberfag says:

i like how you remind charlie to remind you to weld that crack…haha
youtube will be long gone before we ever see that buick put together.

swrnc says:

@PJgearhead You can go buy some metal prep and wash it off with that, or
you can mix up some vineger and water as well. most of the time it’s just
surface rust, and will easly come off, if it’s really bad, you need to get
some rolo loc 30 grit brite pads, and go over the area with that. Pete

marcellinasfigaro says:

Pete, you know what’s worse than Scrappy Charlie not cosigning? Scrappy
Charlie not cosigning BECAUSE HE’S IN JAIL!!!!!!!!!!! I bet you miss ‘Ol
Scrappy. No one to YELL AT!! Seriously, how long does Charlie have to stay
in jail? Poor Charlie, I hope he comes back soon…………

thundercracker82 says:

Wow. Pete….that sucks.. But like you said the customer wants it and he’s
paying for it so I guess you gotta do it. You should take a trip to Detroit
and work on some real rust buckets…lol.

swrnc says:

@PJgearhead Your pretty much right, due to the mud that wet sanding makes,
getting it all up in the hard to reach spots would be a mess. If you don’t
get all the stuff out, then when you go to paint it, there will be dry
primer buildup between the paint and the primer surface, and it will lead
to moisture which leads to surface rust, then eventually rust. Thanks Pete

swrnc says:

@ILUVIVGODII No-this is actually part 2 of the other one, where I am
applying bondo to the battery box area.. Pete

zzzdogutube says:

Do I sense that you don’t like that job?? Is it because you will never get
it perfect enough because inner fenders are just stamped out ,spot welded
pieces of shit when they were new?. They weren’t designed for perfection,
they were designed to stop dirt, stones and cow shit from getting into the
engine compartment. Well if he wants to pay you I guess you better just do
your best and take the man’s money. It is a frustrating job, just when you
think you have seen everything you see more

1968DodgePolara says:

@swrnc Yes exactly not just paint and body I fell you I own a small
business myself in the rental house market I can’t find good honest people
to hire too do good work for me they just want a paycheck and do nothing
looks like I have too stand there and hold their hand to make sure the job
is done right if they show up for work worst yet having tenants that want
to sit in your houses rent FREE not want pay you and I hate having to go
too Court too kick the Clowns out.

PJgearhead says:

Why would wet sanding be a ‘waste of time’? Is it because all the gunk
would get caught up in the nooks n crannys and dry hard or something?

lestrange04 says:

PLEASE cut the music! love watching your vids…your helping me with my
truck day by day. Keep em coming!!

ILUVIVGODII says:

Pete, nice video!! I c u posted this video again!

PJgearhead says:

What do you do to treat the joins in panels, ie where they fold the edge of
two panels over 90degree to form small lips, then join them together with
spot welds? Most of them would have crap in the join and in most cases
rust, do you just blow the gap out as best as possible and fill it with
bog, or rust paint like POR15?

ILUVIVGODII says:

I see you have one of those 18 wheeler toolboxes! lol

thetito626 says:

PETE, you need your own show!

Lyrikz74 says:

@Lyrikz74 lol. sorry pete, had to.

1968DodgePolara says:
