This video is about how to replace rear brake pad on (2004-2010) BMW 5 series e60
( 525, 528, 530, 535, 545 ).
If your BMW e60 not stopping like it used to, making a squealing noise when you stop, you need to replace brake pads. Even modern safety technology like ABS (anti lock brakes) and traction control are useless if a disc brake pad is worn out. Your brake system has to be in top shape to keep you safe on the road.

I haven't done this job yet, but this is the best and to the point summary video I've seen so far!
2:45: The minimum rear rotor thickness isn't 18.4mm on all E60/E61 trims. If the rotor diameter is 320mm it's 18.4mm, but if the diameter is 345mm it's 22.4mm.
For the front brakes that's 22.4mm for the 310mm rotors, and 28.4mm for the 324mm and 348mm rotors. Source: 340-15 in the E60 Bentley manual.
2:58: Here you need to first check if your brake pads are directional, so you're not installing the left one on the right wheel.
4:30: Here 340-12 recommends "Check that brake fluid level is correct. Top off to MAX marking.".
