Get rid of your misfires forever! – BMW E90 DIY Fuel Injector Upgrade

The fuel injectors on the N54 engine were ahead of their time piezo-electric high pressure injectors and they never worked right and were prone to clogging and leaking. It took BMW 12 iterations to get it right (and the jury is out on whether they really did but it’s the best we have at this point!). I finally found some index 12s on a car in the junkyard (my sponsor is still out of stock due to the pandemic!) so it’s time to install them on the car.

Excellent work, thanks for sharing this. I still have a slight rough idle for a few minutes on cold start on my E90 N43. I was considering changing out injectors, but may run some injector cleaner in the tank first. I replaced spark plugs a year ago (120k miles) and just replaced all 4 ignition coils (as one failed causing heavy misfire) this week at 130k miles. Would you recommend an injector cleaner – LiquiMoly or BG44k? Thanks again.

So I hate to be the bearer of bad news. But the index 12 injectors leak too. I have replaced 4 already over the years.

Rocking a injector is the last thing to teach your viewers… this causes the bore to warp and your screwed.

Вы можете легко выбрать несколько ревизий в один ряд и проверить пьезофорсунки. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=wky-nbGLUto&t=10s BMW repairmen are very strange. They change the radiators, which serve to remove heat from the piezo. :))
