after your first vid to close the back sunroof how did you fully open the
front part of the roof to access the clips you are removing every time i
touch the button it goes into vent mode

David B. says:

Thank you so much !!!
i found up another way to fix same problem on my X3. i just cut the
electric wire on button which is responsible to tilt both of roof and now
it stays only sliding mode, but your idea is better than mine. now i’ll
weld it back and will do it as you did.
i have one question and tell me if you know. the sunshading panel is
sliding very hardly and i want to clean and oil the sliding channel, but do
not know how. please replay on my email: geopard_77@mail.ru

following your instruction. THANKS AGAIN…. may god bless you

Sash T says:

There is a way to close the sunroof with the button. Dont push it all the
way forward. just tap it forward a few times and the roof will come down a
little bit. then you can push it all the way and it will close works every
time

THANK YOU so much! I just got through getting reamed by the BMW dealer for
$1000 for the mechatronic seal to stop the transmission leak and the very
next day the panarama roof got stuck with one side closing and the other
side not closing leaving the whole thing jammed. I used your part 1 video
to get it opened to a state where I could see the parts and then after
several attempts to clean/lube it but always having it get jammed, I
finally disabled the back vent – thanks for saving me $3,000
