Hi, I have just subscribed to your channel. What scan tool and app are you using? Can they also work on the E83 models? Thank you.

rolly doucet says:

The jack pads are all messed up because nobody used the round adapter. I bought my 535i from a dealer. There was only 24,000 miles on it and the only people who worked on it was the dealer who sold it when new. All four jack pads were totally messed up, because they lifted the car on a hoist directly on the jack pads. In reality, I'd need four jack pad adapters to raise the car on a hoist.

R.L. Miller says:

I'm sure you already know but check your jack stands to see if they have been recalled. There is a big recall on Harbor Freight jack stands. Not knocking HF, it's just a very big safety issue if they were to fail.

my car didnt even come with jack pads when i bough it and i don't really think i need them. I just use a floor jack to lift the car from the front jack point and put regular 3 ton jack stands on the frame rail where the pads would go.
