After two years, I decided that it was finally time to mod my Audi S3 for the first time. It’s only a minor modification, that doesn’t void the warranty since it is a factory oem offered option. I actually purchased the resonator delete kit used from another S3 owner for $120. Brand new they are double the price. Since it’s basically just a piece of piping and a couple clamps, I figured it would be best to save some cash.
The install is fairly straightforward. Jack the car up (rear only), disconnect the front coupler (13mm socket), zip tie the piping up. Then you move on to the hardest part, cutting the pipe. I rented a pipe cutting kit from the local auto zone (free when you return it), and cut through the back end of the piping. Next, you pull out the factory resonator, then in reverse order put the delete piping in. Like I said, its a pretty easy install (took about 2 hours).
Took it out for a test drive and the OEM resonator delete kit sounds incredible. The car should have come from the factory like this. The upshifts and downshifts give a little bit of crackle, which is kind of immature for an Audi, but who really cares. I do have my exhaust flaps open all the time with obdeleven so keep that in mind when comparing to stock exhaust.

What do you guys think? Like the sound of it? If you have any questions about the install let me know.
Good vid thanks. Does it affect the performance at all!?
Love this channel, getting mine done as we speak
This is how it should sound stock !
I get that the you would want the car to sound loud in sports mode. But what does the car sound like in comfort mode?
Dam did you out anything else under those jacks
Sexy
The owner
So I wanna buy one for my A3 S Line 2014 sport back 4DRS how do I know which kit to buy. Really appreciate it.
Thanks for the video. I have been told that res deletes aren't good for the car/engine in the long-run, as it messes with the car sensors and the exhaust fumes coming from the engine… is this true? I was keen on getting one installed before I was told this!
Great video! Is there any difference between using OEM kit (or another branded kit like BCS) vs having an exhaust shop put in a custom straight pipe? Thanks!
I'm new to the car world let alone Audi, thanks for your video it's very helpful for beginners like me that are looking for ways to learn and improve my baby! I know what I'm purchasin next!
Does it sound better in person? Cause it doesn’t sound very good in the video………..
Where did you get the taillights???
What year is your S3?
Would doing a resonator delete from a local shop void the warranty? Like not the one sold by Audi. Lmk!
Thinking about doing this. Can you use those clamps and put the OEM res back on if you don't like it? Also, would this void a CPO warranty? Thanks!!!!!
Sounds more like a rs3 now
What would you say the actual install time was for this mod?
Love you videos! Curious about your thoughts on further modding, Specifically, APR’s.
Not a fan of the noise. But as long as U like it good for you.
