That car cost 60000$ where i live ,and what do you get for that?..a pile of
plastic that will cost at least another 60000$ in service alone within the
next 4 years, I mean..NOTHING on that car is made to last longer than 4
weeks!! and in those 4 weeks it has to be serviced 2 times :S
I love Audis but only the ones from pre 00.,why?…. THEY WORK!,and should
they break down the´re easy to repair:)

I´m not nagging on your videos, the´re great, just amazed at how horrible
these cars are today and i wonder how anyone can afford to run them.

Hey there, this has been an incredible and very informative video. I think
the way you guys filmed it, the speed and narration were perfect. However,
after watching it, I definitely feel that this is way out of my skill
level. I’ve got a 2008 A3 I just recently purchased with 80K miles, and am
having cold start issues/misfiring and would like to get her cleaned out.
How much should I be expecting to pay if I go to an independent mechanic
like you guys? Wish you were closer to Chicago because you’d have my
business in a heartbeat!

Amazing great job. I just had this job done on my 2009 tiguan. I had it at
dealer for possible extended warranty repair. Told me carbon buildup and
quoted 1600 dollars. I complained and they dropped to 1400. Told me it was
a good ten hour job. Took to my local mechanic and charged 490 dollars. I
see a really fast mechanic such as yourself could get the job done in two
hours. I am not complaining at 490 because the car is running great again
and better gas mileage. It even shifts a lot smoother. Why do dealers
always try to stick it to the customer?

Thank you so much man you are brilliant.
I will do mine with confidence now.
Cheers mate, I really appreciate you videos

Hey man im about to tackle is this job on my 2009 Audi A3 is there anything
I should know about that will be different ? Besides not having that one
pipe on the left side of the engine. I would say I am pretty mechanically
inclined should this job be ok ? If the engine cranks will that ruin
anything if the fuel injectors are not in ? Where do i get those caps for
the fuel injectors so nothing gets in? thanks alot,

Great DIY. I have been looking for something like this for awhile now,
however I’m looking for it for my 08 Audi A4. How similar would this be
from the VW to an Audi?

gusgusfl says:

Wow, this is absolutely filmed perfectly. I’m 0% mechanically inclined and
I was able to follow this. I’ve been having numerous issues with my 2009
A3, and no mechanic has been able to figure out why I keep getting my check
engine light to come on. I’ve replaced the spark plugs, all coils, the “oil
separator”, and did a 44k(?) bg flush with no hope.

I kept telling them if it’s an intake build up issue. They said that it
would be reporting that code, but mine keeps reporting misfires. I finally
took it to an Audi dealership and they told me The problem was I didn’t
have enough gas in my tank! I’m so fed up with mechanics, but you
definitely have earned my respect. If only I could hire you! I asked Audi
to quote me for a manually clean and they said $1200. I’m just wondering if
that’s a good estimate?

Thanks!

What is the chemical you use?

ICU2 says:

Well done Sir. A mental note to myself……….an Audi is NOT for me!

Ivan Vega says:

Is it bad to drive a vehicle when it has that much carbon deposit on the
valves??

Vincent Trevino says:

Great Job!

Watched a couple of your videos. I’m actually about to tackle the timing
belt & water pump job on a friends passat. Thanks for you extremely
detailed videos.

homerfj1100 says:

Absolutely amazing. The complexity of these motors is incredible ( for the
price) in order to carry out a relatively simple job ( to clean).

cengeb says:

what brand is that right angle wrench?

cengeb says:

good video….mine has been walnut shell blasted on cold start
error….yupper. VW warrantys this stuff till 120,000 miles, mine TSI was
covered by the extended warranty at around 76,000…may be due for another
cleaning 111,000 now
