2001 2002 2003 2004 Acura MDX Radio Upgrade w/BOSE – Aftermarket Boss Double Din Install

2001 2002 2003 2004 Acura MDX Radio Upgrade w/BOSE – Aftermarket Boss Double Din Install

In this video we demonstrate the process necessary to upgrade the factory radio in your Acura MDX with the factory Bose system. If you don’t have a subwoofer in the back of your MDX it does not have the Bose system. This upgrade allows you to retain your factory amplifier that powers all the speakers in the car along with the navigation. We also utilize the AXSWC to retain the steering wheel controls with the new aftermarket radio.

So there’s no absolute way to keep the rear entertainment system working?

Edgar Ochoa says:

Great video and I’m going to swoop up one of those custom made harnesses you made in the video if they are still available? But my stock stereo is locked and I have two different codes to unlock it that I got from the dealer with the vin and serial number method. The stereo worked fine before I got the high pressure steering pump hose replaced. My question to you is well maybe two questions haha is there anyway to factory reset the original stereo? If I buy a new unit will I run into the same problem, will the new unit also be locked? Sorry for the long message brotha. I just don’t want to waste time and money.

Have a 2002 Acura MDX Touring No Navi but Bose. I bought the harness with the RCA plugs. Now I am getting a lot of engine noise. Accelerate and whines worst.
Is this a grounding issue? The head unit is a Atoto A6 Pro. Suggestions for fixing the issue. Thanks.

⚡Cupcake Gaming ⚡ says:

Detecting Youngstown 330 says:

Dang you may have to do a more thorough video lol so many different mdx options. Mine has back up cam that comes up on the navigation unit .I installed the wiring kit you told me to use but the nav still don't work it comes on but no functions.im thinking a ohm resistor will work but what about the back up cam and xm raido?

Iglesia Templo De Fe - Temple Of Faith says:

Acura Channel says:

I have a question…on my 4G TL 2011, it makes a very annoying statically sound every now and then and it only comes out of the dash speakers…after I turn the car off a view times, it then connects fine. I wonder if it'sy Bluetooth having issues? When I disconnect it from my cars Bluetooth, it goes away..

Jaweed says:

What would you recommend for a 2010tl I would get the door speakers and tweeters, also do I need adapters and spacers?

Noot's Productions says:

I have an 06 MDX With nav and bose. With this will I still retain AC controls?

Acura Audio Garage says:

Hello Youtube, If your MDX does not have a subwoofer you will not need the 70-1725. The harness with the RCAs is only necessary for the MDXs with the factory bose system.

M Force187 says:

Hey man, another question. I’m doing a very similar install and I set the wiring up essentially how you explained it. I have a base 2004 MDX without navigation and I don’t think it has the Bose audio. When I connect everything, I get power to the unit and the speakers work, but the volume is extremely low, I have to turn up the unit to full volume before I even hear anything. Do you know what the issue could be and how I would fix it?

M Force187 says:

When you’re connecting the steering whee control to the 70-1725 harness, do you connect the black ground to the black ground already coming out or do you have to unpin from the 1721 harness and attach it there?

Detecting Youngstown 330 says:

Great video, quick question my 06 mdx has xm radio so would that be a different harness.
