I did this job before I watched this video very simple job but takes me almost 7 hrs to complete in slow motion and i made some big holes on the filters with special drill bit and used new gaskets and clamps
hi
what are the parts that can not be used again?
i have heard about some gaskets, clamps
and how much can cost those parts ? dealer told me 700 $$$ )))
Well this is good. Being that Volvo and Mack are now the same, the same exact procedures and parts should also apply to Mack trucks. I don't know why designers didn't make the DPF filter an external component so that just two clamps and two wire harness disconnects were all that would be needed to remove the filter without the need to remove the entire assembly. Now that I've seen how this is done, I'd rather forgo removing the top section and messing with exhaust pipe inlet, instead just remove the flex pipe and upper v-band clamp from the DPF filter section, and just lower it down and pull out to R&R. I'll go outside tomorrow and get under this Mack Pinnacle to see if that is indeed possible.
When is necesary to replace or cleane the DPF filter at Volvo VNL ?
Or what are the signs of bad filter?
What a pain, thank you EPA…
Great Video, Thanks
Hey guys
Wats the standard repair time frame
For dpf filtet remove and replace
after cleaning dpf do you need software to reset the ash leve?
Parked or forced regen creates white diesel smelling fumes from exhaust pipe. What would be your thoughts on that as far as possible key causes?
This is how a do it yourself video is made!!! well done sir!!
But I'm the one that always gets the truck that has the nox sensor come out with damaging the threads. As for the doser valve, even after letting the bolts soak in penetrating oil days before I start the job, those bolts still snap off. Then it becomes exercise of patience and pulling out the proper drill tap set and hoping a drills don't break off as you're removing the old broken bolts. Great step by step video though.
Thanks you sir
Where can I get those clamps for the flex pipe I have a exhaust leak on the front of the flex pipe , I just put a heat sleeve on it but it still leaks
I've been looking for this for a while..out of know where it shows up on my utube page…AWSOME!! THX
Check that flex pipe first, unless you're overdue for scheduled maintenance, it might be clogged from cheap def/fuel
What size socket do you need when removing the clamps for the flex pipes?
Good job thanks
The whole system is scam nothing less nothing more, and we are all suckers to buying all these craps.
Great video
So glad I'm getting a delete for my dpf soon
Thank you for the video! Really helpful.
