We recently purchased a MY23 XC40 and also having the handle vibration issue at above 100km/h. I have contacted the volvo but yet to go see them. It feels like a weak phone vibration just continuously going. Hope they can fix it soon

@dominicdupont3917 says:

Same issue still, at 115km/h it’s very noticeable in the steering wheel.

Hello Thom,

@thom – thank you for highlighting this issue. Why do you think Volvo is unable to fix this? This is my first time owning a Volvo (2023 C40) and I am not familiar with how Volvo deals with customer complaints. Is there an equivalent of lemon law there in Netherlands?

My car is still new and I haven’t experienced the vibration issue: when did it start to happen for you (I mean after how many miles?).

@yhk1977 says:

US driver here and yes vibration sucks but I feel it’s gotten better or i just have gotten used to it. Dealership informed me it’s a known issue that Volvo doesn’t have a solution for yet. So I rather hold onto my car rather then have the service dept try something that may/ may not work. Let along have them drive my car for an unspecified amount of miles.

@drivinvolvoaround9910 says:

I think the vibration has nothing to do with the steering wheel or the airbag. Once you reach the 120km you can obviously feel the whole car vibrating. I have little confidence in driving at higher speed.

@annickdesjardins3582 says:

XC40 B5 AWD – vibration is sooooo annoying (I feel it most above 110-115 km/h but it's cyclical, so obviously not the wheels)

@superbad123 says:

Vibration is still a problem with our XC40, we went back twice to the dealer in Groningen. A week ago they tried the airbag fix but the vibration is still there at 104kmh.

@zef27 says:

For the "pin" in the charge port there is a Re-Call !

@drackson0 says:

C40 Twin 2024, I have the same problem, the majority of the vibration is between 100/km to 109km/h, before and after it is bearable.

@timob.6570 says:

Oh my, this vibration thing is going on and on. Really I‘m just waiting till a final fix, I’m tired going to dealership for this ‚fix‘ which doesn’t fix it really.

@moth450 says:

With no sun shade. How's the summer months? Can you cool down the interior before you get in?

@tomv741 says:

Hmmmmmm sad news. I have the same issue, and in januar i had the fix with the airbag in the steering wheel. At my car it didnt help at all, the vibrations are still there, and i even feel them at my feets now.

And now i do have a strange sound when i pull up between 30 and 80 km an hour.

My driving axels in the front will be replaced in a couple of weeks. Dont know if its related to the vibrations
