I used a Milwaukee Heat gun, eventually on the highest setting.

Do not do this. It will ruin the finish of the fenders. The best product I’ve used and I’ve used a lot is Mothers Back to Black. It does have a touch of solvent to “burn” into the plastic so the product penetrates better, but it really applies easy and works very well! Holds up to washes/rain too.
Don’t do this. You’re drying out the plastic.

i think if you do this, after a few more months, the top skin will crack and dry up. now you can peel it for fun. hehehe

Duplicolor sells spray can dye specifically for plastic fenders and bumpers. Works great every time I've used it. Check it out
They will eventually become brittle and stray cracking, please don’t do this, just buy new ones.
Works like shit ….If you want a perfect job dont waste your time with this…Its a good way to melt and disfigure the texture on the fenders….Have them painted
