They do have that small screw under that spacer. The fender piece just snaps off.

Yes I also treated my door trim with Forever Black dye. I have read where people taped the entire car off doing the job. These things come off so quickly that would be a waste of time.
Yes the bumpers do come apart but it’s a little more work. I taped them off. On the bumpers, you have to drill out the rivets in the tire wells and have new rivets to re-install. I’d say 30 minutes each bumper and you may have to take the wheels off to avoid messing things up.
