2010 Volvo XC90 ….My key will rotate (spin) a full 360° freely and not engage or catch anything electronic locks and fob still work however cannot risk loss of battery power. Anyone have this happen to them any easy or inexpensive fixes? This just happened yesterday. Someone theorized that I was a broken lock cylinder from a screw driver attack/attempt to open the car door.

Was attempting to access the door handle from the inside, but got suprised by a plastic cover on top of it. I found it impossible to remove it. Any tips for removing the plastic cover?
