When that clutch sticks, it's only an amount of time for the belt to burn up. Now you're broke down with no AC

@ll_avail_ll9050 says:

Just replace the clutch

This is an amazing video. Thank you for the visual example of what it should look like and what it shouldn’t look like.

My Car only cool when I hit accelerate, otherwise it won't cool. What's the problem? Compressor ok. Thermostat ok, Ac Gas ok. Idk What's the issue.

Thank you pretty informative video Thank you

@nancybats666 says:

Does anybody know if the compressor is expensive? I got quotes $1200 + to get compressor changed and mechanic mentioned that even then it may need another diagnostic to check if that’s the issue

@juanpeace3y2d says:

Could a blown fuse prevent ac from starting? Ive had a new compressor maybe 9 months ago

It does takes maybe 10-15 min before ac cools., before driving off i saw under the hood the compressor was not spinning but when ac cooled down i was not able to see if started spinning

I thought i needed a recharge, but cant buy ac refill can in my state, would low ac keep the clutch from engaging?

@JORDANJUNCTION1969 says:

Just replaced clutch plate only on my 08 honda with belt on. I got the whole kit for just over 30.00 on Amazon. I'll save the remaining parts for another time.

@6ixPacBiggieSwolez says:

Mine engages and disengages what else should i look at? Should i refill the ac?

@Chris4977-3 says:

Turn the clutch with the engine off. if the clutch spins freely and it’s not wiggling like he showed him the video it’s good. If the clutch does not spin manually with your hand, the clutch is seized and will need to be replaced. If the clutch does not spin and engage when you run the AC with the engine is running, your car could have tripped the safety pressure switch that keeps it from spinning. Locate the pressure switch, disconnect the terminal plug take a paper clip and make a connection with the paper clip in the plug or at the fuse box relay or fuse port With the engine off key off position. If you hear a single click, your compressor is fine and just needs to be recharged. If you don’t hear a click there is an issue electrically with the PCM and needs further diagnosis.

@howardevans6302 says:

Compressor does NOT need to be replaced simply because the clutch has movement, it works independently of the compressor, just the clutch needs replacing.
