Instrument cluster removal: 5 to 10 minutes ($0 / $45 / $150)
In this video I removed the instrument cluster on a Volvo 745 wagon, 1990 model. This process should be the same on several other Volvo vehicles, like the 940, etc.

Think I’ll be able to change the cluster bulbs without unplugging all of the connections?
Robert, how do I remove the fan control panel above the radio on a 93 volvo 940 sedan? I got the trim piece off from around it and the 4 screws from the fan control unit. There are 2 metal tabs keeping it from coming out
Man i have 1994 volvo 940 and the panel pad is so hard to put back on. Can i get feedback from you please
do you have a video on radio removal!! can't find any!!
Thanks for taking the time to do the video mate my grandads fuel gauge dos not work so will be trying this
Which instrument wasn't working? And were you able to fix it?
i switched a cluster to see if it would solve Speedo issue…but it didn't and NOW the tach won't work on either one…frustrating
Hi Robert! I first found you through a turbo video and I must say your videos are very helpful! I just removed the engine and trans. out of my 2003 Twin Turbo Nissan 350Z. Im looking here at the clutch and trying to tell what condition it is in, because I have a buyer on my part-out thread on my350z.com, and I don't know what to tell him as regard to what shape it is in. Can you do a video explaining how to tell the life of you're clutch when you get the chance??? Thanks! -Victor
Do you think its worth keeping the old one to see if it can be made to work again?
You allready know what sections to look at so a bad joint would be nice to see.
A possibility of a spare cluster for future volvos, perhaps 🙂
