Can u add a video on how to test the fan
Thanks
I checked the fan with the ac on while the car is running and no fan movement also the fuse for the cooling fan was blown and I replaced it to a 30 amp because I couldn’t find a 35amp but still no fan working and I also checked the cooling fan relay next to the radiator
The only thing I did not change is the cooling sensor next to the thermostat I will replace it and I will let you know
Thanks
I have a Volvo s70 and it overheated and also loosing the cooling fluid
I found out that the clamp on the lower hose of the radiator was loose so I replaced it with a new clamp
Also the temperature gauge is always at the 3 o’clock position and I noticed that the radiator fan is not working
So this tell me that the temperature sensor is not working properly and is not telling the fan to turn on when the temperature is gets Hights.
Please tell me if my diagnosis is correct
Thanks
Thank you so much man greets from Germany
Very impressed Robert, with your knowledge. Where do I find the thermostat on a Volvo V70 2.5d 2001 model? Thanks
Hi Robert ,
In this video you have said that the juckle pin must to be in 1 oclock position .. in other video ( with 850) you said that the pin must to be in 6 oclock .. so what is the position is supposed to be ?? I have a Volvo S70 2000 2.4L non turbo
Thank you
Thank you Robert, nice video
Man I needed this video….. I seriously need to replace my thermostat…..just don't know where to find that T40 bit to remove the housing
Hello. Your previous thermostat video said put the bleeder pin towards the front of car. This video says 1 o’clock position. FCP video says orientation dosent matter.?
Yo Robert, your Video made the journey of replacing the Thermostat easy! Got both bolts out with a long T40 bit without stripping them. The new one doesn't have a pin, but the 850 burped all the air out after a few miles, so i guess it should be ok. Thanks for your advice!
Am I missing the replacement bolt specification in the comment/description? Thanks
At 16:00, you mention that you’ve never heard of a Volvo thermostat breaking, but in a video you made 7 years ago about this process (https://youtu.be/6dPYItyG0lI&t=4m55s at 4m 55s), you mention that Volvo thermostats break, too. Was the broken one in that video not actually a Volvo thermostat?
EDIT: I see now. You’re saying that you’ve never heard of them breaking and *getting stuck closed*. That makes much more sense! My bad
