Excellent video guys! I truly enjoyed watching it. I havent dont that
repair yet, so seeing some regular guys tackle it gives me hope that I can
too! Also, Scott’s advice did not fall on deaf ears! I was about 8oz LOW on
transaxle fluid! Thanks for the video guys!
Ok boss … you build em how you want.. that would never fly at my
shop…and as for everyone watching this dont put grease in a trans..manual
or automatic grease collects dirt…dirt is an engine and trans enemy..
I got VW Transmission like this but no have swing arm. I don’t know about
type of VW Transmission. So, many answer I am looking for few week ago.
Your video answer all. Thankss..
hell,your video helps a lot, thanks guys. i got a question i got a
dunebuggy, but this has the motor and transmission backwards, the
transmission, is gone, is not working any more, i got a new one, but this
is gonna works like the bad one? or i have to switch something inside of
the transmision? well i hope u could help me, thanks. my mail escoses45@yahoo.com
Yeah, I was just kidding about the phone ringing…actually, your video
really helped me. I am in the process of doing this now. I am trying to get
the dumb snap rings off now. stubborn suckers!
It would have been so much more effective had not the distraction of that
phone ringing in the background derailed my train of thought!!! Also, please
explain how to check transmission oil level to all of us novices who are
unfamiliar with the procedure. Thank-You in advance for Your indulgence.
U can avoid the grease debate and just use 90 weight gear oil as assembly
lube; that’s what is used to fill the transaxle. Don’t put clean parts on
dirty floor then into trans. The transaxle is filled through a hole behind
a 17mm hex plug just in front of the driver’s side axle. It is full when
the oil runs out. Be sure to go slow and top it off so oil has time to flow
in and really fill up. The plastic daisy cup should be snapped onto the
metal surface below it to be seated properly.
Good info , phone drives me crazy :(
Helps a lot. Thanks
