I’ll see if I can find some info and will send you a PM.

Thomas EXOVCDS says:

On the Polo it looks to be sitting at the back of the engine at the
firewall (if I looked it up correctly). I’ll send you a link to a PDF…
let me know if applies to your car.

Thomas EXOVCDS says:

Hi, I updated the description with a link to the ModuleMaster VW ABS page.
In the drop down menu pick the VW & Year you will be working on. It should
then show directions… but it’s pretty straight forward. Mounted by 6 torx
screws… remove whatever you need to to get at all the screw and then
remove the module. Car can be driven with module removed (cover remaining
ABS Hydraulic unit to keep dirt away).

Thomas EXOVCDS says:

Hi, sorry for not having added more info in the description or in the
video. I use a 1/4″ torx bit on an extension. The bolts are all the same
size torx. Moving the bottle slightly as well as loosening the mounting
points of the whole ABS pump assembly, will give enough wiggle room to get
at all the bolts. Thanks for watching and taking the time to comment!

Hate to ask, but could I get the exact steps to doing this? I have to be
this on my brother’s car, a list would be great or a link. Thanks for the
video very helpful

ExoVCDS on the link you gave us doesnt have VW polo 9n year 2002 can you
please till me if its the same as an VW Golf or not ??

What method/tool are you using to remove the bottom four (4) Torx screws??
Are you just twisting the bit directly, using your fingers? I tried
removing the module today — wish I had seen this video first… I was
thwarted by the damn water tank, which is secured to the body in a very
hard-to-reach location. I was able to remove the top two with ease… the
middle two were difficult… but the bottom 2 were entirely impossible for
me to reach with a tool 🙁 Had to put everything back together

derrylwc says:

Ahh, I see now — having those rubber gloves definitely helps. I wouldn’t
have been able to unscrew those without the grip provided by gloves. It’s
encouraging to see you do this without removing the water tank… that’ll
make the difference between having a shop do this (~$1200 incl new module)
and sending the module in for repair ($150). Thanks for the video! I’ll be
sure to stop by and donate on your website before this is all over.
