My 1999 Cabrio has a vibrating tach and completely non-functioning speed
needle as well. After a few hours of researching, if all connections
involving solder points are all good, the VDO stepper motors are out. Do
you have any idea where I can purchase new motors? It just doesn’t make
sense to rip some out of a junkyard car, or send the cluster to someone on
the internet to repair it for $100.

LOL, was working on my day off in shorts. Not sure, try a capacitive
discharge. Haven’t had an airbag light that would stay on with no code
stored.

odometer and clock did not work, which fixed the problem but now I have the
air bag light on and does not want to erase, vcds showed once something
about air bad low voltage but I erased it,now no codes but light still
on…it was not there before any ideas..Thanks

It’ll all make sense when you take your own off… but yes, I’m working on
