autozone used to sell those little round grills to put over the light
housing. came with long screws sorta looked like a faceshield. had em on my
73 vw wagon
There are actually 3 different designs of these lens made, there’s the
o.e.m., and there is the europeian version, then there’s the porcha version
like this one.. EMPI makes all 3 of them.. Pete
i like how meticulous you are ,because that shows you take pride in your
work , and in this crappy cheap labor world we deal with now that is a
really admirable quality and as always i like your vids because you get
right through the bs. and down to the nitty gritty thanks man for all your
great knowledge
Thanks for showing that. It was very interesting. I noticed Maxwell has the
Wolfs Burg Hood Emblem instead of the normal VW emblem. Bugs are one of my
favorite cars.
Hello My friend Pete: Love your VW bug, How long did it take you to restore
it and how much money did it cost. It is beautiful.
Do you want the design of the glass to match the other side?Or does it
matter?
Yes–My BUG is a German Made Wolfberg body, it’s the orginal Emblem that
came with the car..
Nice repair Pete.
Maxwell broke is Spectacle 🙂 My Friend Pete AKA “The Optometrist” fixes
him up!
Holy cow Pete you have long hair! Never noticed before.
Nice DIY peter
That car is fucking beautiful.
VANARCHY? Nice concept.
Come on down!
I noticed your vw Wolfsberg crest rests on top of the trim. I have seen it
on top and under the trim, is there a correct position?
Wait till you see the “DONK STOMMPER” !!!
With a can opener?
I hope I can make to Dallas in October. I would love to meet Maxwell in
person.
The Caddy did it.
I used to be into VW’s but then I discovered v8’s.

It’s supposed to be under the trim but the aftermarket trim won’t let it
fit properly. So now it sits on top!
Maxwell got a black eye eh?
Yeah, I remember them, you can still buy alot of those old school VW
Accessorys online and on ebay. EMPI is the most popular place to get VW
STUFF!
Thanks for showing that. It was very interesting. I noticed Maxwell has the

It’s more the throwout bearing then the clutch itself. They start squeeking
and whistling on ya..
how the clutch on the old vw I have a 01 golf the guy who change it dates
vw has very bad clutches and always uses after market on vws
I don’t drive it as much as I want to–TEXAS HEAT SUCKS! Thanks for the
comments, Pete
good instructional vid on a job all vintage BUG owners will need to do at
some point.
