I need to get the engine running on my classic VW split screen camper van. Can I be trusted to do this myself? I’m desperate to take it for a drive!

I've dropped engines / subframes out on gravel driveways too … the trick is to put a sheet of ply down first ! You can buy cheap ply from joinery places, as it is often used to pack around the better quality Laminate sheets they buy, the local Joiner sells the ply 'packing sheets' for a packet of choccy biscuits per sheet 😉
Well that sucks for you mate, but I'll tell you what it's a good thing you've found it now instead of driving it down the road you will be spending a little bit more money but you'll have a nice clean engine Your buddy there has a nice collection I love his blue Van but I like yours too I'll take either ..
Looked like only one brake light was working as you reversed out of the unit
Perhaps Dom should have set the tappets when he had the engine out, a lot easier than doing it with the engine in the car!
New spigot bearing too Dom, the old one will hydraulic out with an old input shaft driven into grease.
John is a legend. Well
as your taking it back to original are you going to return it back to it's original ride height
As always great video and impressed with your skills. Just noticed that only one off your brake lights is working. Great keep them coming.
Straight away, I knew it was fuel starvation from the sound, then the rest, we have all been there.
fix that nearside brake light 😉
Don`t know if anyone else noticed, But one of the brake lights don`t work. Nice van.
John is a good friend. You reap what you sow!
Great video, a great friend and … your tool book's on the way ! Happy days !
