There is a tool that comes with the Jetta for removing the lug nut caps.
I don’t because the first time I did brakes, I took the cap off the
reservoir, and fluid came shooting out when I squeezed the piston back in.
Someone told me to take the cap off on the rear brakes because it’s a screw
type caliper, and it would help the piston to go back in; I just haven’t
been able to test that theory yet.
Question: Do you take the lid off the brake fluid reservoir before you
compress the piston? Some people say open it, some don’t comment on it.
